Lions secure slightly higher contract for running back Jahmyr Gibbs than Falcons' Bijan Robinson
Jahmyr Gibbs signed a three-year deal worth $67.5 million, giving him a marginally higher annual average than Bijan Robinson's $22.25 million per-year contract with the Falcons.
The Detroit Lions announced a three-year, $67.5 million contract for running back Jahmyr Gibbs, bringing his total compensation to $84.976 million over five years when combined with his existing $17.476 million deal. The agreement yields an average annual value of $16.99 million, slightly above the average $16.36 million per year in the Atlanta Falcons' five-year, $22.25 million-per-year contract for Bijan Robinson.
Both players are aiming to reach $25 million in new-money average annual value, a target they can achieve only by fulfilling the full terms of their contracts.
