Falcons and RB Bijan Robinson agree on three-year, $75 million extension

Summary

Atlanta signed running back Bijan Robinson to a three-year deal worth up to $75 million, making him the league's highest-paid running back.

Atlanta announced that running back Bijan Robinson has agreed to a three-year extension valued at up to $75 million, with $51 million guaranteed. The contract, negotiated by agent Nicole Lynn of Klutch Sports, ends Robinson's week-long holdout that began at the start of training camp.

Under the new terms Robinson will earn an average $22.25 million per season, surpassing Saquon Barkley as the highest-paid running back in the NFL. The deal follows a busy offseason for the Falcons, who also extended wide receiver Drake London, tight end Kyle Pitts Sr., and left guard Matthew Bergeron.

Robinson, the 2024 Pro Bowl selection and 2025 All-Pro candidate, led the league in scrimmage yards last season with 2,298 and posted a 93-yard rushing touchdown, the longest of the year. Drafted eighth overall in 2023, he has accumulated 3,910 rushing yards and 1,738 receiving yards over three seasons. He is expected to be a central figure in Atlanta's offense under new head coach Kevin Stefanski and offensive coordinator Tommy Rees.
