Ukrainian intelligence drones destroy Russian air defense system, boat and drone control station in Crimea and Kherson

सारांश

Ukraine's Main Intelligence Directorate reported that drones hit a Pantsir-S1 air defense system in Kherson, a Sargan patrol boat in Kerch and a Forpost UAV control station in Yevpatoria on July 30, as part of a broader effort to degrade Russian military assets.

Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR) said its unmanned systems unit used drones on July 30 to strike a Russian Pantsir-S1 air-defence system in the Kherson region, a Project 1100M Sargan patrol boat in Kerch and a ground control station for Forpost UAVs in Yevpatoria, Crimea.

The agency estimated the destroyed Pantsir-S1 was worth about $15 million and the Sargan boat about $6 million.

The operation follows earlier drone attacks, including a June 26 strike that damaged a MiG-29 fighter and launch equipment at Belbek airfield in Crimea, and coordinated July attacks by the Security Service of Ukraine on the Saky and Gvardiyske air bases that hit multiple hangars storing combat aircraft and Shahed attack drones.

These actions are described as part of a 40-day campaign authorized by President Volodymyr Zelensky to reduce Russia’s military capability and disrupt logistical networks in the southern theater.
