San Francisco Giants are gathering information after outfielder Harrison Bader was injured in a scooter collision early Sunday, but have not released further updates on his condition.

San Francisco – The Giants are still collecting facts about a scooter accident that injured outfielder Harrison Bader in the early hours of Sunday. According to local reports, the crash occurred around 1:50 a.m. near Balboa Café at Greenwich and Fillmore streets, where Bader’s scooter struck the rear of a fire engine, and the vehicle’s wheel rolled over his left foot.

Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene, and police confirmed that Bader received medical assistance before being taken to a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. The player, who had been dealing with plantar fasciitis and a strained oblique, had not played since May 29 and was scheduled to see a foot specialist in Indianapolis on Monday.

After the incident, Bader traveled to Indianapolis as planned and was examined by the team’s orthopedist, Dr. Ken Akizuki, with an MRI ordered to assess the new injury. The Giants have not released the MRI results, and Bader has not provided public comments, despite the club’s invitation to speak with reporters.

When asked about Bader’s status, manager Tony Vitello said he was checking on the player’s well-being and left further details to medical staff, noting that a return this season would have been unlikely even before the crash. A Giants public-relations representative clarified that Vitello did not definitively state Bader would miss the rest of the season.
