North West's Royal Oak show cancelled amid broader tour disruptions
13-year-old North West's scheduled performance at Royal Oak Music Theatre on Aug. 18 was cancelled, with refunds promised, as most dates of her Kimokawaii Tour have been called off.
The Royal Oak Music Theatre confirmed that the Aug. 18 concert by North West, the 13-year-old daughter of Ye and Kim Kardashian, has been cancelled. No explanation was provided, and the venue said ticket purchases made by credit card will be refunded automatically within 30 days, while in-person buyers should request refunds at the box office.
The show, announced in June, would have been North West's first local performance since releasing her debut EP, "N0rth4evr," in May, and she was slated to share the stage with rapper Molly Santana.
The cancellation follows a series of disruptions to the 14-date Kimokawaii Tour, which was set to begin on Aug. 5 in Dallas. Most of the tour dates have been cancelled, leaving only an Aug. 25 appearance in San Francisco, according to reports. The tour's website has also been removed.
