Dylan Sprouse's 2018 tweet about Jared Leto resurfaces amid new assault allegations

A 2018 tweet by actor Dylan Sprouse questioning Jared Leto's interactions with young models has reappeared as Leto denies recent sexual assault accusations detailed in a BBC documentary.

Actor Dylan Sprouse posted a question on X in May 2018 directed at Jared Leto, asking the musician-actor about his success rate after allegedly contacting female models aged 18 to 25 via direct messages. At the time Sprouse was 25 and his then-girlfriend, model Barbara Palvin, was 24, while Leto was 46.

Director James Gunn later replied in the same thread, suggesting that Leto was targeting minors online. Neither Sprouse’s nor Palvin’s representatives, nor Gunn’s, have responded to requests for comment.

Leto has issued a statement calling the new allegations “absolutely and categorically false” and asserting that he has never sexually assaulted anyone. The denial follows a BBC documentary that presented testimonies from ten women, four of whom said they were underage when the alleged incidents occurred between 2002 and 2016, as well as comments from two former members of his band about uncomfortable interactions with teenage girls.

The documentary’s claims add to earlier reports from 2025 in which nine women accused the Oscar-winning actor of inappropriate sexual behavior, including with minors. Leto has consistently denied those accusations.
