Jared Leto Faces Multiple Sexual Misconduct Allegations in BBC Report
A BBC documentary presents accusations from ten women that actor Jared Leto engaged in sexual misconduct, including alleged statutory rape, which the actor denies.
A new BBC documentary features ten women who allege that actor and musician Jared Leto engaged in sexual misconduct spanning from 2002 to 2016, when he was in his 30s and 40s. Four of the women described incidents they consider criminal, including one who said she was assaulted in a motel bathroom at age 17 and another who said she had sex with Leto in California at 17, which would constitute statutory rape under state law. A third woman said she was "groomed" and received repeated sexually explicit phone calls when she was 16; she declined to sign a nondisclosure agreement Leto later sent her.
Four additional women reported receiving "strange and often very sexual" phone calls from Leto while they were younger. Leto, now 54, has not been charged with any crime related to the allegations and has publicly denied the claims.
