Florida ticket wins $800 million Mega Millions jackpot

A Mega Millions ticket purchased in Bradenton, Florida, matched all five numbers and the Mega Ball in the July 28 drawing, securing the $800 million jackpot. The winning numbers were 34-48-49-59-70 with Mega Ball 12, and the ticket was sold at a Wawa store on State Road 70, according to the Florida Lottery.

The lottery announced that the cash option for the prize is $344 million. The same drawing also set the stage for the next Powerball drawing, which has risen to an estimated $663 million.
