The New England Patriots conducted a reduced-pace walkthrough on the third day of camp, with full roster attendance and several players continuing rehab work.

The New England Patriots held their third practice of training camp on Monday behind Gillette Stadium, opting for a slower, walkthrough-style session as part of a five-day ramp-up period. Full attendance was recorded, with fullback Reggie Gilliam returning after a rest day and five players remaining on the injured list, including defensive end Gabe Jacas, who is still rehabilitating.

"We were going to evaluate him, we are going to see where he is at. This is all part of the process," head coach Mike Vrabel said before practice. "I am again cautiously optimistic that he will work his way through the return to play, and we will get him back out there."

The practice emphasized a reduced tempo, with players wearing bucket hats and sneakers for a jog-through after three days of speed work. Vrabel noted the approach helped the team learn and install concepts at a manageable pace, recalling its effectiveness last season.

"It was good for us last year. If we can handle that, then hopefully we can continue with this," he added.

Offensive and defensive units split across two fields. Quarterback Drake Maye worked with receivers A.J. Brown, Romeo Doubs, Mack Hollins, Kayshon Boutte and DeMario Douglas, while the offensive line featured Will Campbell, Alijah Vera-Tucker, Jared Wilson, Mike Onwenu and Morgan Moses. Versatile rookie Caleb Lomu received additional work at multiple line positions.

"Try to get him some jumbo tight end work, and he will play some tackle, he will play some guard," Vrabel said of Lomu, indicating the team will assess his fit across various roles.
