Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie urges public to help locate missing mother
Savannah Guthrie posted a video on Instagram appealing for information about her mother, Nancy Guthrie, who has been missing since early February, and reiterated a request for tips to the FBI.
Savannah Guthrie, co-anchor of the "TODAY" program, posted a video on Instagram on Monday asking anyone with information to help locate her mother, Nancy Guthrie, who disappeared from her home near Tucson, Arizona, in early February. She said the family continues to search for her and urged the person believed to be responsible to provide details about her whereabouts.
"I’m coming on today with a very specific message," Guthrie said in the video. "I ask you — begging you — to do the right thing now. Help us find her. Tell us where to look for her."
Guthrie noted that a second note sent to media outlets after the disappearance claimed the missing woman had died, but it did not include an apology or a ransom demand, according to three sources familiar with the case. She said she has no comment on that report but reiterated the family's request for assistance.
The FBI has asked anyone with relevant information to call 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324).
