摘要

Tadej Pogačar completed the 2026 Tour de France in 73 hours, 56 minutes and 26 seconds, establishing a new record for the fastest overall edition.

Tadej Pogačar finished the 2026 Tour de France in 73:56:26, covering a 3,197-kilometre route at an average speed of 43.227 km/h, the fastest pace recorded for the race. The time beats the previous record set in 2025, when the average speed was 42.728 km/h.

Stage 11 saw a separate speed milestone, with the peloton averaging 50.9 km/h over the 161.3-kilometre sprint from Vichy to Nevers, the highest stage average since Mario Cipollini’s 1999 record.

Pogačar, now a five-time winner, secured his seventh consecutive Tour podium, finishing six minutes and 26 seconds ahead of second-placed Remco Evenepoel. He also added five stage victories to his career total, bringing it to 26.

"The average speed of 43.227 km/h reflects the high level of performance this year," a Tissot timing spokesperson said.

Pogačar joins an elite group of riders with five overall Tour victories and remains a contender for future editions.
