Giuliana Rancic Responds to Jerry O'Connell's Comments on Their 2004 Breakup

Giuliana Rancic posted an Instagram video on Thursday in which she sipped a cocktail on a boat and referenced recent comments made by her former boyfriend, actor Jerry O'Connell, about their 2004 breakup. She noted that her email had been "blowing up" after O'Connell appeared on Kelly Ripa's "Let's Talk Off Camera" podcast, where he described himself as a "terrible boyfriend" during the brief relationship.

Rancic, who wrote about the split in her 2015 memoir, said she could "give two sentences" about the matter but suggested she might turn the topic into a longer podcast, adding, "Jerry, you are so invited. We'd love to have you."

During the podcast, O'Connell recalled an incident in which he told Rancic, via an intercom, that she could not enter his condominium unannounced because of security measures. He did not identify who else was present in the unit at the time and said the relationship was already in trouble. O'Connell also mentioned that he had been labeled a "cheater" and recounted an awkward encounter with Rancic at a gym, describing it as "funny" and "awkward."

O'Connell's publicist did not respond to requests for comment. Rancic has not indicated any plans for further public statements.
