Meghan and Harry share vacation photos from Portugal with children
Meghan Markle posted Instagram images showing the royal family on a summer trip to Portugal, featuring beach, pool and garden scenes with their children and a rescue dog.
Meghan Markle posted a series of Instagram photos on July 23 that depict a family holiday in Portugal's Alentejo region. The images show Prince Harry, Meghan, their son Archie, 7, and daughter Lilibet, 5, enjoying activities such as swimming in a pool, walking on a beach, and strolling through a garden. In one picture, Harry, wearing a backwards baseball cap, flips Lilibet in the pool, while Meghan watches from the sand. Another photo captures Archie seated in an aircraft cockpit under the guidance of pilots, referencing Harry's former service as an Apache helicopter pilot in the British Army Air Corps. The family’s rescue beagle, Mamma Mia, also appears in the posts. The children's faces are concealed to protect their privacy.
The vacation images were shared about two weeks after the children met their grandfather, King Charles, and Queen Camilla, during a visit to the royal couple’s Highgrove residence in Gloucestershire, as reported by the BBC and confirmed by Buckingham Palace. The reunion followed the Sussexes’ decision to step back from senior royal duties after relocating to California in 2020.
