Ravens begin 2026 training camp under new head coach Jesse Minter

摘要

The Baltimore Ravens start their 2026 training camp on July 29, with new head coach Jesse Minter aiming to guide quarterback Lamar Jackson and a revamped roster toward a Super Bowl run.

Baltimore will host its 2026 training camp at the Under Armour Performance Center from July 29 through August 17, marking the first season under head coach Jesse Minter after John Harbaugh's departure. Minter inherits a team that finished 24th in defense last year and is tasked with integrating a new offensive system led by the league's youngest playcaller, Declan Doyle, while helping quarterback Lamar Jackson adapt.

The Ravens have bolstered the offensive line and added pass-rush talent, most notably free-agent defensive end Trey Hendrickson, to improve a unit that struggled in recent seasons. After camp, the team will hold joint practices with the Minnesota Vikings on Aug. 19-20 and the Washington Commanders on Aug. 26 before opening the regular season against Indianapolis on Sept. 13.

Key players under scrutiny include wide receiver Rashod Bateman, who is expected to become a reliable No. 2 target, and kicker Tyler Loop, who must rebound from a missed field goal that cost the Ravens the AFC North title last year. Rookie guard Olaivavega Ioane, selected 14th overall, has drawn praise from teammate Roquan Smith, who said, "I can tell physicality is his thing."

Position battles will shape the final roster. Center Ethan Pocic, signed to replace three-time Pro Bowler Tyler Linderbaum, competes with Danny Pinter and Jovaughn Gwyn, while the starting outside linebacker spot opposite Hendrickson is likely to be decided between Mike Green, Tavius Robinson and Zion Young. Minter noted of Young, "When he strikes a sled, it looks different."

Defensive tackle Nnamdi Madubuike, still recovering from neck surgery, remains a health question. Minter said at minicamp, "At some point, that'll clear itself up. Again, we feel good about where it's at."

The projected 53-man roster lists Jackson and Tyler Huntley at quarterback, a mix of veterans and newcomers on the offensive line, and a depth chart that leaves several spots open for competition during camp.
