White House posts election-integrity documents after Trump’s address

Résumé

The White House uploaded a collection of files on voting-system vulnerabilities, alleged Chinese data collection, a Michigan voter-registration probe and non-citizen registrations, citing intelligence and DHS reviews.

The White House made public a set of documents on Thursday night following President Donald Trump’s primetime speech on election integrity. The files, posted to a new election-integrity page, are grouped into four categories: vulnerabilities in electronic voting and ballot-counting systems, China’s alleged acquisition of U.S. voter data, a Michigan voter-registration investigation, and non-citizens listed on state voter rolls. The materials include intelligence assessments, FBI records, Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency reports and Department of Homeland Security summaries covering the period from January 2020 to June 2026.

Trump asserted that electronic voting machines are “vulnerable and easily compromised,” and said the released information had previously been hidden. He added that the documents had been reviewed by the White House Government Transparency Taskforce, the President’s Intelligence Advisory Board and senior intelligence officials, who he said confirmed their authenticity.

The release is part of the administration’s broader push for election-security measures ahead of the midterm elections, including proposals for voter ID, proof-of-citizenship requirements and the Senate-pending SAVE Act. Federal courts have blocked portions of an executive order that would require proof of citizenship on federal voter-registration forms, and the SAVE Act has not yet passed the Senate.

The White House describes the documents as evidence of potential threats to election infrastructure and voter-registration databases, but independent verification of the contents has not been provided.
