Apple adds standalone Siri app to iOS 27 beta
Apple's iOS 27 public beta introduces a dedicated Siri app that syncs across devices and is limited to newer iPhone models supporting Apple Intelligence.
Apple unveiled a public beta of iOS 27 that includes a standalone Siri app appearing on the Home Screen. The app, also slated for macOS 27, visionOS 27, iPadOS 27 and watchOS 27, lets users view past Siri interactions and start new conversations in a chat-style interface. It syncs with iCloud, enabling continuity of chats across Apple devices, and supports uploading photos and files for analysis.
The Siri app leverages the new Siri AI and Apple Intelligence features introduced in iOS 27, providing access to broad world knowledge and personal context such as messages, emails and photos. It can also recognize on-screen content and respond to related queries.
Apple said the app will be available only on iPhone models that support Apple Intelligence, specifically the iPhone 15 Pro and newer, including the iPhone 16 series and the upcoming iPhone 17 lineup.
The addition follows previous default apps added in recent updates, such as Image Playground in iOS 18.2 and Preview and Games apps in iOS 26.
