Trump Media to Offer Paid High-Speed Access to Truth Social Posts for Traders
Trump Media & Technology plans to launch a subscription service that gives institutional traders millisecond-level access to top Truth Social accounts, including the president’s posts, raising conflict-of-interest concerns.
Trump Media & Technology, the publicly traded parent of the Truth Social platform, announced Thursday that it will introduce a paid service called Truth PSI. The offering will provide Wall Street firms and other institutional clients with near-real-time access to posts from the platform’s most followed accounts, allowing them to act on information within milliseconds.
“He’s selling expedited, privileged access to information about what he is doing as president,” said Kathleen Clark, a professor at Washington University School of Law who studies government conflicts of interest.
The company did not disclose pricing details or confirm whether President Donald Trump’s own posts will be included, though the press release notes that the service will cover “the highest-ranking Truth Social accounts.” Trump, who has about 12.9 million followers, is the platform’s most followed user, followed by his sons Donald Jr. and Eric.
In recent months, Trump has used the platform to comment on topics such as the war in Iran, trade policy and immigration enforcement, statements that have previously moved markets. The new service is described by CEO Kevin McGurn as part of a “strategy to monetize proprietary assets” and is expected to become a “meaningful, ongoing source of revenue.”
Trump Media said the service will launch next month and that it already has customers signed up. The company’s stock rose 0.6 percent to $9.63 after the announcement, still far below its pre-presidency level of $40.
