SpaceX schedules Starship Flight 13 launch for July 16

Résumé

SpaceX plans to launch the Starship vehicle's 13th test flight, the second using the Version 3 configuration, no earlier than July 16 during a 90-minute window from Starbase, Texas.

SpaceX is set to attempt the 13th test flight of its Starship launch system on Thursday, July 16, with a launch window opening at 6:45 p.m. EDT (2245 GMT) from Starbase, Texas. The vehicle, the world’s largest rocket, will fly in its Version 3 (V3) configuration, marking the second launch of this upgraded design.

The Super Heavy first stage, Booster 20, was rolled back to launch pad 2 yesterday and stacked with the upper stage, Ship 40, overnight. The stacked vehicle is expected to undergo at least one more engine test before liftoff.

SpaceX will stream the launch live about 30 minutes before the scheduled window on its official mission page and on its X account. The flight aims to deploy the first batch of upgraded Starlink Version 3 satellites.

"We are targeting a no-earlier-than July 16 launch for Starship Flight 13," the company posted on X.

The launch will be the second V3 flight, following the debut of the configuration less than two months ago.
