Samsung previews redesigned Galaxy Z Fold 8 in Spider-Man teaser ahead of July Unpacked event
A new trailer for the upcoming Spider-Man game shows a foldable phone that appears to be Samsung's next-generation Galaxy Z Fold 8, which the company is expected to unveil at its July 22 Galaxy Unpacked event.
Samsung has used a teaser for the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day video game to showcase a prototype of its next foldable smartphone. The clip features a foldable device being removed from a 3D printer and opened like a book, with the visual presentation dominated by lens flares. Industry observers interpret the phone as the forthcoming Galaxy Z Fold 8, which is rumored to adopt a wider, passport-style form factor.
The teaser also displays other Samsung products, including the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, Galaxy Z Flip 8 and a model labeled Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. While these devices are shown without the cinematic flares, they closely resemble the company's current lineup, and the flip phone appears identical to the existing Z Flip 7.
Samsung is slated to announce the new Galaxy Z Fold 8 and additional hardware at its Galaxy Unpacked event scheduled for July 22. Reports suggest Apple may be developing a foldable iPhone with a comparable design, potentially launching later in the year.
