Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 series specs revealed, Ultra model gains higher-resolution display and camera

Resumen

Leaks show the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra will feature a sharper internal screen, a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera and a larger battery, while the standard Fold 8 receives modest upgrades.

Samsung is expected to unveil its next foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Fold 8 Ultra, after a leak from WinFuture detailed most of the devices' specifications. The Ultra variant is said to receive a higher-resolution inner display, increasing from 2184 × 1968 pixels to 2504 × 2256 pixels, which should make the screen noticeably sharper. Its camera system also appears to be upgraded, with the ultrawide sensor jumping from 12 MP to 50 MP, while the main sensor remains at 50 MP.

The battery capacity is reported to rise to 5,000 mAh from the previous 4,400 mAh, and fast-charging speed is expected to reach 45 W. The Ultra model is also slightly thinner and will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor that includes Samsung’s “For Galaxy” performance boost, matching the variant used in the upcoming Galaxy S26.

The standard Galaxy Z Fold 8 is expected to retain a similar inner display resolution of 2,448 × 1,848 pixels, a modest increase over earlier estimates, and will be equipped with a dual-camera setup, the primary sensor also at 50 MP but lacking the higher-resolution ultrawide lens found on the Ultra. Overall, the leaks suggest the Ultra model offers incremental enhancements over the regular Fold 8, while both devices continue Samsung’s foldable flagship line.

"The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra’s upgraded internal display and 50 MP ultrawide camera represent the most significant changes compared with last year’s model," the leak notes.
