LeBron James narrows free-agency interest to three teams, Warriors slip to peripheral status

Resumen

NBA free agency sources say LeBron James is focusing on the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat and Philadelphia 76ers, while the Golden State Warriors remain a lower priority.

LeBron James is reportedly concentrating his free-agency considerations on three clubs – the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat and Philadelphia 76ers – according to NBA insider Shams Charania. The Warriors and Minnesota Timberwolves, previously mentioned as possible destinations, are still technically in the mix but are no longer among James' primary targets.

Charania told "NBA Today" that James has received all the information he needs and that the decision could be made "any day, any week now." He emphasized that the choice is not driven by salary, noting that teams are offering a range of contract structures, including minimum deals and cap exceptions.

The shift follows recent roster moves by the Cavaliers' rivals: Philadelphia acquired forward Jaylen Brown from Boston in a trade, and Minnesota added guard LaMelo Ball. Both acquisitions have placed those franchises among the five teams still under consideration, but the focus remains on Cleveland, Miami and Philadelphia.

Golden State general manager Mike Dunleavy said the Warriors' roster is close to finalization as the team prepares for the upcoming season, but the organization is no longer a leading contender in James' evaluation process.
