Former 'Storage Wars' star found dead amid cyberbullying allegations

Marty Sheets, known as “the Gambler” from the first 15 seasons of the reality series Storage Wars, was discovered dead in his office with a gun to his head in April 2026. Police opened an investigation after reports of alleged cyberbullying and a recent text message argument with his daughter-in-law, who suspected Sheets’ girlfriend of financial misconduct. Sheets’ girlfriend also said he had been experiencing sleep problems due to a man allegedly slandering his name.

Sheets retired from the show following a heart attack in 2019 but continued to appear as a guest until 2023. After his death, co-stars expressed condolences on social media. One former colleague encouraged viewers to seek help for mental-health concerns, citing the national suicide-prevention hotline.

"If you are struggling, you are not alone. You can dial 988 to connect with a counselor and resources," the post read.
