2026 Emmy Nominations Announced, HBO Max Leads with 122 Nods
The Television Academy revealed the full slate of 2026 Emmy nominees, with HBO Max topping the list of platforms and Mariska Hargitay set to host the ceremony.
The Television Academy released the complete list of nominees for the 2026 Emmy Awards on July 8. HBO Max led all platforms with 122 nominations, while the drama series The Pitt received the most individual nods at 25, followed by the comedy Hacks with 24 and the new series Widow’s Bay with 19.
Other programs earning double-digit nominations included Pluribus (18), Beef (16), DTF St. Louis (13) and both Saturday Night Live and Spider-Noir (11 each). The nominees were unveiled in a live streamed ceremony from the TV Academy’s Saban Media Center, hosted by former Emmy winners Liza Colón-Zayas and Jeff Hiller.
Mariska Hargitay will host the main ceremony, which will be broadcast live on NBC and Peacock on Monday, Sept. 14 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. The Creative Arts Emmys, where most technical awards are presented, are scheduled for Sept. 5-6. Hargitay, an Emmy winner for her role on Law & Order: SVU, is also a nominee this year for her documentary My Mom Jayne.
The first two categories—best variety series and reality competition—were announced earlier on the Today show. The Academy consolidated the nomination announcements into a single release to better align with promotional timelines for the awards season.
