Summary

Samsung confirmed a Unpacked event in London on July 22 and leaked renders show updated foldable phones, a flip phone and two smartwatches with new specifications and color options.

Samsung announced that its next Unpacked launch will take place in London on July 22. In the days leading up to the event, a set of official-looking renders for the expected devices was released.

The Galaxy Z Fold8 is shown in Cream, Graphite and Lavender, with a Pistachio variant limited to the company’s online store. The foldable is rumored to feature a 5.5-inch cover screen and a 7.6-inch main display with a 4:3 aspect ratio, weigh about 200 g, and measure 4.5 mm thick when unfolded and 9.7 mm when folded. It is expected to run on a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, 12 GB of RAM and storage options of 256 GB, 512 GB or 1 TB, backed by a 4,800 mAh battery.

A higher-spec version, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, is listed in white, black and purple, with a green online-only color. It appears to retain the same design as the previous model, using the same Snapdragon chipset, 12 GB RAM and similar storage choices, but with a larger 5,000 mAh battery, 45 W wired charging, a 200 MP main camera, a 10 MP telephoto lens with 3× optical zoom and a 50 MP ultrawide sensor.

The Galaxy Z Flip8 is depicted in Cream, Graphite and Pink, with a Mint variant possibly sold online. The device is expected to keep the Flip7’s design, be powered by an Exynos 2600 processor in certain markets, weigh roughly 180 g and house a 4,300 mAh battery. Camera and display specifications are reported to remain unchanged from the previous generation.

For wearables, the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 will be offered in a single 47 mm size in two colors, while the Galaxy Watch9 will come in 40 mm and 44 mm sizes across Cream, Graphite and Green options. Leaks suggest that all of the new devices will be priced higher than their predecessors.
