Orbital Studios Sets Up Facility at Los Angeles' Television City

Virtual production company Orbital Studios, known for work on Netflix’s "Nemesis" and FX’s upcoming "The Drop: A Snowfall Saga," will open a permanent facility at Television City in Los Angeles. Founded in 2020, the firm provides art teams, tools, software and pipelines designed to streamline virtual production while maintaining high visual quality.

The relocation follows Orbital’s recent global expansion through partnerships with other soundstages, aiming to enable productions to capture worldwide locations without leaving Los Angeles and to keep local creative jobs and spending.

Orbital’s recent portfolio also includes FX’s "Justified: City Primeval," History Channel’s "History’s Greatest Heists" and the 20-part docuseries "World War II with Tom Hanks."

Television City, a Fairfax District landmark designated a Historic-Cultural Monument in 2018, has hosted iconic programs such as "All in the Family," "The Carol Burnett Show," "The Price Is Right," "The Young and the Restless" and "The Bold and the Beautiful" over its 75-year history.
