Tech and media leaders slated for Allen & Company Sun Valley conference in July
The annual Allen & Company conference in Sun Valley, Idaho, will convene top executives from technology, media, and other sectors beginning July 7, with several high-profile figures absent.
The Allen & Company conference is set to open in Sun Valley, Idaho, on July 7, according to minutes from the local Friedman Memorial Airport that handles the influx of private jets each summer. The attendee roster mixes established technology and media executives with a few newer faces.
Expected participants include Apple CEO Tim Cook, Amazon Executive Chairman Jeff Bezos, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman. Media representatives such as Paramount Skydance chairman David Ellison, former Disney CEO Bob Iger, Warner Bros. Discovery chief David Zaslav, Netflix co-CEOs Ted Sarandos and Greg Peters, and the Murdoch family are also listed.
Newer additions to the guest list feature Disney’s newly appointed CEO Josh D’Amaro, Apple’s incoming chief John Ternus and CBS News editor Bari Weiss. Notably absent are Elon Musk, who recently became the world’s first trillionaire after SpaceX’s IPO, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison and Berkshire Hathaway’s new CEO Greg Abel.
The conference will host a broad array of leaders from technology, media, philanthropy, retail, sports and journalism, including Apple SVP Eddy Cue, YouTube CEO Neal Mohan, Kering CEO François-Henri Pinault, Bill Gates of the Gates Foundation, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and MLB commissioner Rob Manfred.
