The two-seat roadster has logged 197,700 miles and carries a second-hand 2.5-liter M96 flat-six engine that has run 107,000 miles since its replacement. The seller reports that the engine starts and runs without smoke or unusual noises, and a new clutch was installed 27,000 miles ago.
The vehicle rides on lowered springs and worn shocks, but the seller will include four Bilstein B4 struts. An alternator failure is noted; the car can start on a fully charged battery but will not run for long, causing the OBD-II emission codes to be cleared. Repair of the charging system and a subsequent 330-mile drive would be needed to reset the codes for a smog test.
Exterior condition includes stone chips on the front and a paint scratch on the rear-left fender. The interior appears solid, with a refurbished driver’s seat, though the steering wheel and shift knob are of an earlier design. The soft top is reported to function properly, the title is clean, and registration is current.
