Blake Lively was not on the guest list, a decision that sources say reflects Swift’s desire to surround herself with people who bring her "peace" and whom she fully trusts.
"Taylor’s in a different place now, and she just wants to be around people she trusts and who bring her peace," an insider told Page Six.
The insider added that Swift believes the friendship with Lively cannot be repaired and that the exclusion was the result of a series of issues rather than a single incident.
"It wasn’t one big thing, it was everything adding up," the source said.
Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds spent the wedding weekend in Lake Placid, New York, supporting their daughter Betty at a horse show. Reynolds posted about Canada’s FIFA World Cup campaign on Instagram after the team’s loss to Morocco, avoiding comment on the wedding drama.
The couple’s absence was noted because the wedding featured guests such as Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper, Beyoncé, Tom Brady and other high-profile figures. Swift’s former close friend Karlie Kloss attended with her husband, drawing further attention to Lively’s omission.
The rift between Swift and Lively traces back to a 2025 legal dispute involving director Justin Baldoni, who sued Lively, Reynolds and their publicist for $400 million. Although the lawsuit was later dismissed, court filings referenced messages in which Lively described Swift as a trusted partner and used the term "dragons" in a personal note. Swift was briefly subpoenaed as a witness but the subpoena was withdrawn.
