Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's Secret Garden Wedding at Madison Square Garden Revealed

Résumé

Details of the couple's July 3 ceremony, including a custom marquee, celebrity performances and a charitable donation pledge, have emerged despite strict privacy measures.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce held their wedding on July 3 inside a 180-foot tent at Madison Square Garden in Manhattan, where phones were reportedly banned and guests signed nondisclosure agreements. A marquee outside the arena displayed the message “JUST&T MARRIED!” and a car with a matching license plate was seen leaving the venue.

The ceremony was officiated by actor Adam Sandler, a longtime friend of Kelce, according to Swift’s publicist Tree Paine. Musical performances included Paul McCartney, who was spotted leaving the venue with actor Tom Hanks, and Stevie Nicks, confirmed by network anchors on a morning news program.

Both bride and groom wore Christian Dior haute couture designed by Jonathan Anderson, with shoes by Christian Louboutin and jewelry from Cartier. Attendees received embroidered handkerchiefs bearing the couple’s “T&T” monogram and a lyric from Swift’s 2014 song “Blank Space.”

Family members filled traditional wedding roles: Swift’s brother Austin acted as man of honor, while Kelce’s brother Jason served as best man. The vows, read from gold books, each lasted about 20 minutes.

Country singers Maren Morris, Kelsea Ballerini, Brad Paisley and Kimberly Williams-Paisley were among the guests documented arriving on social media. A pre-wedding meeting with the British royal couple, Kate Middleton and Prince William, was reported by a news outlet.

The couple announced a $26 million charitable contribution to food banks, arts-education programs and pediatric cancer initiatives, with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library receiving $2 million.

Rain fell shortly after the ceremony, and the arena was illuminated in lavender lighting. An insider, AMC Theatres CEO Adam Aron, posted a detailed account of the event on social media before deleting it; screenshots described a “Secret Garden” theme with green and white drapery, five-story-tall lit trees, live strings, and a large stage set for the after-party.

Guests were asked not to bring gifts, a request reiterated by San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle. Notable absences included actors Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, reportedly due to a personal dispute.
