Five Philadelphia Phillies selected for 2026 MLB All-Star Game
The Phillies will be represented by outfielders Brandon Marsh, Bryce Harper, Kyle Schwarber and pitchers Cristopher Sánchez and Jhoan Duran at the All-Star Game in Philadelphia on July 14.
Five Philadelphia Phillies have been named to the 2026 Major League Baseball All-Star Game, which will be held in the city on July 14. The selections include outfielder Brandon Marsh, who earned a starting spot after leading the Phase 2 outfield voting, and reserve outfielders Bryce Harper and Kyle Schwarber. Pitchers Cristopher Sánchez and reliever Jhoan Duran also received All-Star nods.
Marsh, in his fifth season with the club, is posting a .315 batting average with 15 home runs and ranks among the league leaders in batting average over his last 162 games. Manager Don Mattingly said, "I think that first one is always special. It kind of validates you. 'I made it. I’m an All-Star.' It’s just huge."
Harper, a first-base starter, has recorded a .906 OPS and is among the top players in extra-base hits, home runs and walks. Schwarber, in the first year of a five-year, $150 million contract, leads the league with 30 home runs and a .570 slugging percentage. Mattingly added, "And Schwarbs, just kind of banging away."
Left-hander Cristopher Sánchez has posted a 2.00 ERA and a 50 ⅔-inning scoreless streak, the longest by a left-hander in MLB history. He said his changeup has become more effective, with opponents hitting just .142 against it this season. Mattingly noted, "It’s his second [All-Star selection]. It validates him, how he’s gotten better and all of a sudden now is that kind of guy."
Reliever Jhoan Duran, acquired in a trade last year, holds a 1.52 ERA and is tied for the league lead with 21 saves. He is on pace to become the first Phillie with 30 saves in a decade. The All-Star Game will be the first in Philadelphia since 1996 and the fourth in the franchise’s history.
