Prince Harry to travel to London without Meghan amid security concerns
Prince Harry will visit London next week alone, while his wife Meghan and their children remain elsewhere due to unresolved security arrangements.
Prince Harry is scheduled to travel to London next week as part of a multi-day U.K. visit, but a source close to the duke said his wife Meghan and their children, Archie and Lilibet, will not accompany him for the London portion of the trip. Arrangements for the remainder of the visit are still being discussed, leaving open the possibility that the family will stay outside the capital.
The London stop coincides with the one-year countdown to the 2027 Invictus Games, an event founded by Harry in 2014 for wounded veterans. He is also expected to attend engagements with his charitable organisations during the stay.
According to a report, the couple had planned to visit a London hospital together, marking Meghan’s first such engagement since leaving the U.K., but the plan was altered for "security reasons," the source said.
A separate source indicated that the family would reside in royal residences as guests of King Charles III. Harry previously expressed concerns about his family's safety in the U.K., stating it was "impossible" to bring them back safely after a court case over police protection.
The exact security measures for the July visit have not been confirmed, and Buckingham Palace has not announced any additional protection for the trip.
