Taylor Swift and Travis Keldo Wed in Private Ceremony at Madison Square Garden

Resumen

Pop star Taylor Swift and NFL player Travis Kelce were married Friday evening at Madison Square Garden in New York, with actor Adam Sandler officiating and roughly 1,000 guests in attendance.

Taylor Swift’s representative, Tree Paine, confirmed that the singer and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce were married at about 7:30 p.m. on Friday at Madison Square Garden. The ceremony was officiated by actor Adam Sandler and featured Swift’s brother Austin as man of honor and Kelce’s brother Jason as best man. Both bride and groom wore Christian Dior ensembles, according to the statement.

The event, limited to about 1,000 invitees, included a range of celebrities from music, film and sport, such as Selena Gomez, Bradley Cooper, Reese Witherspoon, Gigi Hadid, Ed Sheeran, and NFL players Cooper Kupp and Chris Jones. The venue was secured with a heavy police presence and traffic on nearby streets was temporarily rerouted.

The wedding took place amid a citywide heat wave, with temperatures reaching 100 °F. Despite the weather, an ice sculpture was displayed, and a rainstorm began shortly after the ceremony was announced on a video screen outside the arena.

"The ceremony joined both families together and was officiated by friend Adam Sandler," the statement read.

President Donald Trump later posted a digitally altered image referencing the marriage, but no official comment was made by the White House.

The couple, who began dating in 2023 and announced their engagement last summer, chose the arena to maintain privacy while accommodating a large, high-profile guest list. Their union has been described by fans as a modern-day “American royal wedding.”
