Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce donate $26 million to charities ahead of New York wedding
The pop star and NFL player gave a combined $26 million to 20 charitable organizations across the United States before their planned ceremony at Madison Square Garden.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce announced a $26 million donation to 20 charities in the United States as they prepare for their upcoming wedding at Madison Square Garden in New York. The contributions target organizations linked to locations significant to the couple, including New York, Kansas City and Rhode Island.
In New York, nine nonprofits received funds, among them Food Bank For NYC, City Harvest and Musical Mentors, which provides music instruction to students. The Rhode Island Community Food Bank and Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City were also listed as beneficiaries. National groups such as Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, Feeding America and the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals were included in the donations.
"The two of them have incredibly big hearts and have shown up to support not only us but many charities over the years," a spokesperson for Harvesters – The Community Food Network said.
"We were thrilled to learn of this unexpected gift, which comes at a time when the need for food assistance in our state is at an all-time high," the Rhode Island Community Food Bank said.
Both Swift and Kelce have a history of charitable giving; Swift has previously contributed to food banks during her Eras Tour, while Kelce’s foundation focuses on youth programs. The exact amounts given to each organization were not disclosed.
