Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce donate millions to Kansas City food bank and children's hospital
The pop star and NFL player contributed funds that will fund about 2 million meals through Harvesters food bank and support programs at Children’s Mercy Hospital, part of a broader $26 million charitable effort.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have made a financial contribution to Harvesters, a regional food bank serving 27 counties in the Kansas City area. The donation is expected to fund roughly two million meals, addressing heightened food insecurity during the summer months when school-based meal programs are unavailable.
Valerie Nicholson-Watson, interim president and CEO of Harvesters, said the gift was unexpected and appreciated, noting the couple’s previous support and volunteer work.
The pair also gave to Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. Hospital officials said the contribution will help fund programs that provide comfort and activities for pediatric patients and their families.
According to ABC News, Swift and Kelce have donated a total of $26 million to a range of charities across the United States, including food banks, children’s hospitals and educational organizations.
