Taylor Swift and Travis Kelke to Wed at Madison Square Garden

A law-enforcement official briefed on security arrangements said the wedding of singer Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce will take place at Madison Square Garden on Friday night, followed by a smaller rehearsal dinner on Thursday. The source spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the event publicly.

New York City officials confirmed that a permit for a “large event” at the arena has been filed. Mayor Zohran Mamdani said the city is prepared and declined to provide further details. Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch indicated that a police detail will be in place but also offered no additional information.

Workers have been seen unloading equipment and briefly displaying a large carpet outside one entrance of the Manhattan venue. Neither Swift’s representatives nor the couple have publicly confirmed the plans despite requests for comment.
