Center Jalen Duren, a restricted free agent from the Detroit Pistons, is scheduled for a second meeting with the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday morning. The first discussion took place on Tuesday, during which Lakers officials indicated they consider Duren a maximum-salary level player. > "We view Jalen as a player worthy of a max contract," a Lakers representative told league sources who requested anonymity.
The Sacramento Kings also met with Duren on Tuesday and conveyed strong interest, saying they are exploring sign-and-trade options to bring him to Sacramento. Both teams are reportedly evaluating their offers as Duren decides his next destination.
