According to the celebrity news account Deuxmoi, the couple may already be legally married, as a marriage license is required before a formal ceremony can take place. The outlet speculated that a smaller, private celebration could have occurred at a location favored by the pair, such as the Bahamas, Rhode Island, Nashville, California, or Kansas City.

"Sources tell Deuxmoi that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding festivities are expected to take place next week in New York City," the account posted on Instagram.

"One interesting detail: because couples must obtain a marriage license before a legal wedding ceremony can take place, it's entirely possible they are already legally married."

The New York Times reported that several Chiefs personnel have booked hotel rooms near Times Square for dates around July 3, and Amtrak police have been alerted to expect activity related to the wedding during the weekend of July 4. San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle, a friend of Kelce, confirmed his invitation but said he does not know the venue.
