Veteran journalist Scott Pelley signs representation deal with CAA after CBS departure

Resumen

Scott Pelley, former "60 Minutes" correspondent, has entered a representation agreement with Creative Artists Agency following his exit from CBS News.

Scott Pelley, a former correspondent for "60 Minutes" and former anchor of the "CBS Evening News," has signed a representation agreement with Creative Artists Agency (CAA), the talent firm announced on Instagram on June 25. CAA described Pelley as a veteran broadcast journalist who has earned 51 national Emmy Awards, four duPont-Columbia Silver Batons, three Peabody Awards, six Edward R. Murrow Awards and the 2025 Walter Cronkite Award for Excellence in Journalism.

Pelley, 68, left CBS after more than two decades with the network following an internal dispute with CBS leadership earlier in June. The termination note from "60 Minutes" executive producer Nick Bilton cited Pelley’s conduct during a staff meeting as a factor in the decision.

In a June 7 interview on The New York Times' podcast, Pelley said he does not feel sorry for himself but expressed concern for colleagues at "60 Minutes" and for the institution.

CAA, founded in 1975, represents a range of high-profile clients in film, television and music.
