Boston Celtics officials are reportedly weighing a series of possible trade packages for forward Jaylen Brown after the team’s offer for Milwaukee’s Giannis Antetokounmpo was rejected in favor of a deal with the Miami Heat. Brown, who posted a career-high season that earned him Second-Team All-NBA honors, is entering the final three years of a $183 million contract and will turn 30 in October.
One scenario pairs Boston with the Portland Trail Blazers, sending Brown in exchange for young center Donovan Clingan, forward Jerami Grant, guard Kris Murray and a 2027 first-round pick. Another proposal involves the Houston Rockets, where Boston would receive Alperen Sengun and Dorian Finney-Smith for Brown, potentially with an additional first-round pick.
A third option links the Celtics to the Cleveland Cavaliers, offering Evan Mobley and guard Max Strus for Brown and forward Baylor Scheierman. A fourth hypothetical trade with the Washington Wizards would bring Anthony Davis, rookie guard Tre Johnson and a 2031 first-round pick to Boston in exchange for Brown.
The Phoenix Suns are also mentioned as a possible partner, with Boston receiving Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, prospect Khaman Maluach and a 2033 first-round pick for Brown and forward Sam Hauser.
