Detroit will enter the 2026 NBA Draft with the No. 21 overall pick in the first round on Tuesday, June 23. The team is expected to target Allen Graves, a 6-8 forward from Santa Clara who averaged 11.8 points, 6.5 rebounds and shot 41.3% from three-point range in the 2025-26 season. Graves, a bench player for a tenth-seeded program, posted efficient numbers in limited minutes and demonstrated solid passing, rebounding and defensive instincts.
Graves could address several Pistons needs, including a rotation power forward to eventually succeed Tobias Harris, a reliable three-point shooter and a ball-handler who can relieve pressure on Cade Cunningham. The selection aligns with Detroit’s “best player available” approach.
The draft, regarded as deep beyond the top three picks, begins with the Washington Wizards holding the No. 1 slot and is scheduled to be televised on ABC/ESPN from the Barclays Center in New York.
