Savannah Guthrie posts Father's Day tribute as mother remains missing
NBC's Savannah Guthrie shared a family photo for Father's Day while her 84-year-old mother, Nancy Guthrie, has been missing since late January, and she has recently returned to on-air duties.
Savannah Guthrie used Instagram on Father's Day to post a photo of her husband, Michael Feldman, in bed with their two children, Vale, 11, and Charles, 9, captioning the image "Our hero. Happy Father's Day." The post comes as Guthrie continues to cope with the disappearance of her mother, Nancy Guthrie, who was last seen on Jan. 31 at her Tucson, Arizona home.
Nancy, 84, was reported missing on Feb. 1, and authorities have said she may have been taken against her will, though the investigation has not produced any definitive leads. Guthrie took a leave of absence from NBC's "Today" program after the disappearance and returned to the show on April 6.
In a June 8 interview on the program's "Fourth Hour," Guthrie explained that returning to work provides her with a sense of normalcy and joy, adding that she remains focused on the ongoing search and continues to ask viewers for any information. Co-host Jenna Bush Hager affirmed the team's support for Guthrie.
Later in June, Guthrie announced she would be involved in production meetings for a new NBC game show based on the popular word puzzle, slated to film in Manchester, England, after a delay caused by her mother's case.
