Jimmy Kimmel Announces Two-Month Sabbatical, Names Rosie O'Donnell Among Guest Hosts

Resumen

Jimmy Kimmel will step away from his late-night program for two months and has appointed a rotating roster of guest hosts, including Rosie O'Donnell, to fill in.

Jimmy Kimmel told the audience on Thursday that he will be taking a voluntary two-month break from "Jimmy Kimmel Live." He said the show will continue with a series of guest hosts, naming comedians and actors such as Tiffany Haddish, Colman Domingo, Ike Barinholtz, Anthony Anderson and musician Jelly Roll.

"I will be taking the next two months off, this time voluntarily," Kimmel said during the episode.

Rosie O'Donnell was also announced as one of the temporary hosts. The comedian, who has been living in Ireland, has previously spoken about her move abroad following political disagreements.

"The president of the USA has always hated the fact that I see him for who he is – a criminal con man sexual abusing liar out to harm our nation to serve himself – this is why I moved to Ireland," O'Donnell wrote on Instagram.

O'Donnell told a radio interview that she recently visited the United States for two weeks to see family, noting she wanted to test the ease of crossing the border after an extended period abroad.

The guest-host lineup is expected to keep the program on air while Kimmel is away.
