Wyndham Clark Leads 2026 U.S. Open Heading into Third Round
Defending champion Wyndham Clark starts the third round with a four-shot lead at Shinnecock Hills, while a field of top players begins their tee times throughout Saturday.
Defending champion Wyndham Clark will tee off at 3:45 p.m. ET on Saturday with a four-shot advantage over a group of four players tied for second at the 2026 U.S. Open. Clark entered the day at 7 under after solid rounds on Thursday and Friday.
He will be paired with 2022 champion Matt Fitzpatrick in the final tee time, while other contenders such as Xander Schauffele, Tom Kim and Collin Morikawa start the round earlier. Notable players including Justin Thomas, Sam Burns, Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy are also in the chase group.
The USGA schedule places McIlroy and Maverick McNealy at 2:12 p.m., with Scheffler and Brian Harman teeing off at 2:01 p.m. Earlier groups feature Tommy Fleetwood and Ludvig Åberg at 12:50 p.m., and Jordan Spieth with Joaquin Niemann at 10:55 a.m. The morning also includes a pair of amateurs, Jackson Koivun and Miles Russell, at 10:17 a.m.
The full Saturday tee-time list includes more than 60 competitors, ranging from early starters at 9 a.m. to the final pairing at 3:45 p.m., as they vie to complete the tournament's 72 holes.
