Texas court releases photos and video from Karmelo Anthony murder trial

Resumen

A Texas district court made public crime-scene photos, body-camera footage and other evidence used in the trial that convicted 19-year-old Karmelo Anthony of murdering 17-year-old Austin Metcalf.

A Texas district court released a collection of photographs, video and audio recordings that were presented as evidence in the murder trial of Karmelo Anthony. The materials, issued on Friday, come less than two weeks after a jury found Anthony guilty of killing 17-year-old Austin Metcalf during a high school track meet in Frisco and sentenced him to 35 years in prison.

The evidence includes crime-scene photographs, police body-camera footage, 911 call recordings and security-camera video that captures moments before and after the stabbing. The video shows Anthony fleeing the scene and later being handcuffed, during which he tells officers, "I'm not alleged. I did it," and later claims he was restrained against his will.

Prosecutors identified the knife shown in the images as the murder weapon. The released photos depict the victim's wound, blood-stained clothing and the weapon used in the attack.
