Jon Rahm and Bryson DeChambeau Miss U.S. Open Cut
World No. 1 Jon Rahm and former top-10 finisher Bryson DeChambeau failed to make the top-60 cut at the U.S. Open, ending their chances to play the weekend.
Jon Rahm, who began Friday at two under par, posted a back-nine 41 that dropped him to a total of +4, the cut line for the U.S. Open, and eliminated him from the weekend competition. Bryson DeChambeau also missed the cut after a second-round 75, marking his third consecutive major where he failed to advance past the cut despite having been in the top ten of three of the four majors a year earlier. The cut at Shinnecock was set at the top 60 players and ties, with those at +4 or better earning a spot in the final rounds and prize money. Several other unnamed players also fell short of the cut line.
