2026 FIFA World Cup broadcasting and streaming options outlined for North America

Summary

FOX and NBCUniversal will air the 104 matches of the 2026 World Cup across U.S., Canada and Mexico, with free over-the-air options and multiple streaming services available.

The 2026 FIFA Men's World Cup, featuring 104 matches across the United States, Canada and Mexico, begins on June 11. FOX and NBCUniversal hold the English-language rights for the 78 games in the United States and the 13 games each in Canada and Mexico, while Spanish-language coverage will be provided by Telemundo and Universo, both owned by NBC.

"Imagine, with this World Cup, a Super Bowl every single day for five weeks," U.S. team captain Tim Ream said, noting the tournament's global audience of roughly five billion.

Viewers with a TV antenna or a smart-TV connection to the FOX network can watch 70 matches for free; the remaining games will be on the cable channel Fox Sports 1. In Spanish, 92 matches are available free over the air on Telemundo, with the rest on Universo. For cord-cutters, the opening games – Mexico vs. South Africa and the United States vs. Paraguay – will stream free on Tubi, an ad-supported service owned by Fox.

All matches can be streamed live via the FOX One channel, the FOX Sports app, and Peacock (which holds exclusive Spanish-language streaming rights). Additional subscription services such as YouTube TV, FuboTV and Hulu + Live TV also carry the games. Highlights and news updates are provided on CBSSports.com.

The U.S. team’s group-stage schedule includes matches against Paraguay (June 12, 9 p.m. ET, SoFi Stadium, Inglewood), Australia (June 19, 3 p.m. ET, Lumen Seattle) and Turkey (June 25, 10 p.m. ET, SoFi Stadium). The tournament’s knockout phase runs from June 28 through the final on July 19 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
