iFixit finds Trump Mobile T1 is largely based on HTC U24 Pro hardware

सारांश

A teardown by iFixit shows the Trump Mobile T1 shares most components with HTC's U24 Pro, differing only in minor cosmetic and supplier details.

iFixit’s teardown of the Trump Mobile T1, obtained by NBC News, indicates the device is almost identical to HTC’s U24 Pro model. Scans of both phones using a CT scanner revealed nearly matching external dimensions, and internal inspection confirmed the same Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor and core hardware. Differences are limited to a slightly larger battery, a distinct speaker-hole pattern, Micron-supplied storage and RAM versus SK Hynix parts in the HTC version, and a repositioned camera flash due to a longer flex cable. The T1’s exterior features a gold paint finish, but otherwise the hardware is the same. iFixit demonstrated that an HTC motherboard functions within the T1 chassis without issues.

The phone’s packaging states it is "proudly assembled in the USA," leading analysts to suggest that the chassis and display may be imported as a pre-assembled unit with final assembly and component integration performed domestically. Trump Mobile did not respond to a request for comment.
