NASA orders ISS crew to shelter in SpaceX capsule during leak repair

摘要

Astronauts on the International Space Station temporarily moved into a docked SpaceX capsule while Russian‑segment crews addressed a newly discovered leak, NASA said.

NASA instructed the five crew members aboard the International Space Station to take temporary shelter in the docked SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule on Friday while Russian cosmonauts worked on a fresh leak in the station’s Russian segment. > "The decision was made out of an abundance of caution," NASA spokesperson Bethany Stevens said on X. The astronauts entered the capsule, paused the repair work, and later returned to normal duties after the leak‑fix operation was halted. The affected area has a history of cracks and leaks, and Roscosmos opted for a more extensive repair after the latest problem emerged. Both agencies continue to investigate the underlying cause of the structural issues.
