Victor Wembanyama, making his finals debut for the Spurs, scored 26 points and grabbed 12 rebounds but struggled with his shooting, hitting only 6 of 21 attempts. He reflected on his performance, admitting, "I was bad tonight. It’s not more complicated than that."

The game saw an early back-and-forth exchange of leads, but the Knicks pulled ahead decisively in the fourth quarter. Despite a brief lead by the Spurs in the closing minutes, Brunson's three-pointer secured the Knicks' victory.
