President Trump has raised the possibility of making the UFC arena, constructed on the White House South Lawn for upcoming events, a permanent fixture. In a recent video posted on his TikTok account, Trump compared the situation to the Eiffel Tower, which was initially intended to be a temporary structure. He stated, "Maybe we'll never ever take it down," emphasizing that the UFC venue is attracting significant public interest.
The UFC arena is set to host the "UFC Freedom Fights 250" on June 14, featuring a lightweight title match between Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje, among other bouts. The temporary structure is visible from the North Lawn of the White House, a location traditionally used for presidential departures and press interactions. Since the start of construction on May 20, these media opportunities have been restricted.
The South Lawn is frequently utilized for various presidential events, including the Easter Egg Roll and the Congressional Picnic, suggesting its significance in presidential activities.
